09.06.2017 CoolHeating financial trainings about district heating and cooling

During May 2017 trainings were conducted in order to build capacity and to facilitate the deployment of improved business models and innovative financing schemes for mobilising investments in small modular RE district heating and cooling systems. The financial trainings about small modular district heating systems were implemented in Ljutomer (SI), Zagreb (HR), Sarajevo (BiH), Šabac, Belgrade (RS) and Skopje (MK). The focus of the trainings was on the knowledge transfer from Denmark, Germany and Austria to the participants:

- Business models and financing of small modular RE district heating and cooling systems

- Best practice examples on business models and financing (Denmark, Germany and Austria)

- Guideline on improved business models and financing schemes of small renewable heating and cooling grids

- Economic calculation tool for small modular district heating and cooling projects (user guidelines)

Trainings hosted a broad spectrum of participants from companies interested in developing new services (e.g. ESCo), municipality representatives interested in financing options and innovative business models (e.g. cooperative model) and representative of financing bodies. Events provided a lot of relevant information and networking possibilities for the participants.
